【摘要】:Saturatedfattyacidssolidifyatahighertemperaturethanunsaturatedfattyacids.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofmeasuringthesolidificationtemperatureofasamplecontainingbothunsaturatedandsaturatedfattyacidsbycoolingthespecimenandmeasuringthetemperatureatwhichsolidificationoccurs.Samplescontaininghigherlevelsofsaturatedacidswillhaveahighertiter(solidificationtemperature)thanthosewithlowerlevelsofsaturatedacids.Waterpresentinthesamplewillraisethetiter,soprovisionsaremadeinthetestmethodtoremovetracesofmoisture.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthesolidification(titer)pointoffattyacidsandisapplicabletoallfattyacids.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
