【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesfortheidentificationofpolyethyleneplasticsmoldingandextrusionmaterialsinsuchamannerthatthesupplierandtheusercanagreeontheacceptabilityofdifferentcommerciallotsorshipments.Thetestsinvolvedinthisspecificationareintendedtoprovideinformationforidentifyingmaterialsinaccordancewiththegroups,classes,andgradescovered.Itisnotthefunctionofthisspecificationtoprovidespecificengineeringdatafordesignpurposes.1.2Otherrequirementsmaybenecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.Theseshallbeagreeduponbetweentheuserandthesupplier,byusingthesuffixesgiveninSection.1.3Ethyleneplasticmaterials,beingthermoplastic,arereprocessableandrecyclable(seeNote0).Thisspecificationallowsfortheuseofthoseethyleneplasticmaterials,providedthatanyspecificrequirementsasgovernedbytheproducerandtheenduseraremet.Note0SeeGuideD5033forinformationanddefinitionsrelatedtorecycledplastics.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasstandard.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainstothetestmethodportiononly,Section,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.6ForinformationregardingplasticpipematerialsseeSpecificationD3350.Forinformationregardingwireandcablematerials,seeSpecificationD1248.Forinformationonpolyethyleneswithdensitiesbelow0.910g/cm3,seeClassificationD5593.Note2ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
